The pandemic changed many aspects of my final year at university, including the projects I had planned. As the university I attended closed for one of the lockdowns I was was faced with discontinuing my initial microscope project. I was also without professional equipment and had no clue how to finish a photography degree without a digital camera. I decided to study a local area, known as the Star-Shaped Pond. during my visits I noticed lots of litter being left behind, I decided to start collecting the trash and turning it into photographic equipment*. My subject would be the very place I found the litter. From beer cans to biscuit tins I found a wealth of possibilities to continue image making with. These pinhole photographs were one mans trash and certainly my treasure.
*litter was collected in a covid secure way and cleaned extensively
